Your stay at Harmony House can be tailored to meet your unique needs and preferences. We offer flexible program lengths, ranging from 7-day respite stays to 28-day or longer programs. Our comprehensive 28-day program is designed to provide a transformative experience, with each week building upon the previous one. We'll work closely with you to craft a personalised package that addresses your specific needs and preferences. Whether you're looking for a shorter stay or an extended retreat, we'll work with you to create a customized plan that suits your journey.
Day 1
Arrival and Initial Assessment
Upon arrival, you'll be warmly welcomed by our team and introduced to your fellow peers. Our friendly and experienced staff will help you settle into your comfortable room, making sure you feel right at home.
During your initial assessment, our clinical professionals will work closely with you to gather important information about your personal goals, needs, and health. This thorough assessment is essential in crafting a tailored plan that addresses your unique situation and sets the stage for a successful stay with us.
Day 2
Building Support and Stability
From the moment you arrive, you'll be paired with a dedicated recovery coach who will guide you throughout your stay in the guesthouse. We will create a personalised plan, addressing any outside issues such as court appearances, legal matters, and healthcare appointments, allowing you to focus on your recovery and building a strong foundation for long-term success.
Day 3 to 27
What to Expect
At Harmony House, we believe in providing a comprehensive and personalised recovery plan for each client. Within the first week, you can expect:
- Weekly 1:1 Meetings with a Recovery Coach: Work one-on-one with a highly trained recovery coach to receive guidance, support, and encouragement throughout your journey.
- Daily Group Sessions: Participate in daily group sessions that cover topics such as:
• Neuroscience and emotional development techniques
• 12-step methodology
• Other relevant topics to enhance your recovery - Weekly Medical Assessments and Dietary Plans: Receive regular medical check-ins and personalised dietary guidance to ensure your overall health and well-being.
Weekly Individual 12-Step Program Modules: Engage in written step work to foster self-reflection and deepen your understanding of addiction and recovery. - Supportive Peer Groups: Connect with peers who are going through similar experiences, exploring the concepts of addiction and dependency in a safe and supportive environment.
- Leisure Activities: Enjoy a range of fun and relaxing activities, including:
• Nature and coastal walks
• Kayaking
• Bowling
• Cinema nights
• Football team-building exercises

Day 28 and Beyond
Preparing for a Lifetime of Recovery
As you near the end of your stay at our guest house, you'll have the opportunity to meet with your personal recovery coach to develop a personalised aftercare plan. This is a crucial step in your recovery journey, as it ensures you receive ongoing support and guidance beyond your initial stay.
Our experienced recovery coaches, who have personally navigated the challenges of early recovery, will work with you to:
- Find a sponsor who can provide ongoing support and guidance
- Identify local group meetings and resources to help you stay connected with your recovery community
- Create a customised aftercare plan tailored to your unique needs and goals
If needed, we may recommend an extension of your stay to ensure you're fully prepared for the transition back into your daily life. This is always optional, and availability permitting. We understand that everyone's recovery journey is unique, and we're committed to supporting you every step of the way.
Upon completing your recovery program, you'll receive a graduation certificate acknowledging your achievement. This is a proud moment, marking a significant milestone on your path to long-term sobriety.
